This morning they woke up in the tent and came quickly up to the hostal to have breakfast and get ready to go to La Seu where we were going to do kayaking.
A beautiful sunny morning, perfect for the activity in hand so off we went on the bus. A twenty minute journey later and we were at El Parc del Segre and putting lifejackets on. After a short lesson on land everyone took to the water in groups of two and three to enjoy the kayaks which is not as easy as it looked. A few knocks with the oars and going round in circles until they got the hang of it and then most of them managed to get going quite far. All the smaller ones had a monitor with them at the back of the boat so they got a good go too, although a few aching arms at the end!!
Then we played for a while in the park and off back for lunch at the hostal.
To recover from the camping out we went into the TV room after lunch with some blankets to cover us and watched the film The Mysterious Island to recharge batteries.
After snack we all finished preparing for the show, the boys preparing the experiments and giving the a trial run and the girls making their costumes and decorating them.
After dinner we had the disco and then the last magic box when the children wrote all about their favourite parts of the camp and then off to sleep, excited to see mummies and daddies and brothers and sisters!
